Andrea M. Zulberti

Ms. Zulberti retired from Barclays Global Investors (“BGI”, now Blackrock, Inc.), one of the world’s largest investment management and advisory companies. Over a fourteen-year career and as a Managing Director at BGI, she served as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer, Head of Global Risk Management and Head of Global Operations. As a member of BGI’s Management Committee for over eight years, Ms. Zulberti was active in the strategic management of the firm worldwide. During her tenure at BGI, Ms. Zulberti led all acquisition activity and served as an executive officer of BGI and five of its affiliated companies, and from time-to-time as a director of BGI and its affiliates. As Head of Global Risk Management, Ms. Zulberti designed a unique organizational structure that addressed the firm’s vision for matrix management, integrating Legal, Compliance, Operational, Credit and Market Risk and Audit into a powerful business-driven framework. Since it addressed meaningful local and global interaction, it achieved industry recognition for practical efficacy. In her final three years at BGI, Ms. Zulberti was appointed Head of Global Operations to bring radical change to the then traditional operating model, realizing her vision in less than twenty months with the successful completion of the industry’s then largest strategic alliance to outsource operations. Concurrently serving as Global Chief Administrative Officer, Ms. Zulberti provided the strategic direction for the firm’s business continuity and real estate issues worldwide.

In September 2010, Ms. Zulberti was appointed to the Board of Directors of SYNNEX Corporation, a Fortune 500 company and a leading business process services company, servicing resellers and original equipment manufacturers mainly in multiple regions around the world. The Company provides services in IT distribution, supply chain management, contract assembly and global business services. She is a member of SYNNEX Corporation’s Audit Committee and concurrently served on its Compensation Committee from September 2010 through March 2013.

Ms. Zulberti served on the Board of Trustees of ProLogis, a NYSE-traded REIT from May 2005 to June 2011. ProLogis develops and manages distribution facilities and provides logistics services globally. She was a member of ProLogis’ Investment and Finance Committee, Audit Committee and was appointed Chair of its Management Development and Compensation Committee in May 2009.

In June 2010, she completed six years on the Board of Trustees of the Woodside Priory, a private, preparatory school, during which time she chaired its Committee on Trustees as a member of the Executive Committee.

Ms. Zulberti also devoted time from 2005 to 2008 to the American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter’s fund-raising activities.

In May 2015, Ms. Zulberti was elected to the Board of Trustees at the Annual Meeting of the American Kidney Fund.
